Fresno State Prediction and Odds vs. Colorado State (Bet on Bulldogs Wins)

The Mountain West game of the night takes place in Fort Collins with Fresno State going to face Colorado State in a battle of two conference candidates.

Bang Fresno is in KenPom’s top 50, but have had some bad luck this season, losing three of their four MWC games by 5 or less. Can they be beaten as significantly underdogs against Colorado State, who are looking to stay in the hunt for the regular-season championship.

Here are the odds for Friday night’s late game from WynnBET Sportsbook:

Total: 129.5 (Over -110/Under -110)

Fresno State has struggled as a weak team this season, which included only two of seven games, but if they can control the pace and limit Colorado State along the perimeter, they could be in round a few limits.

The Bulldogs played at the third slowest pace in the nation and were a team with excellent defensive resilience, ranking first in the top 20 in the nation. The team also has one of the best big boys in the country with seven strikers Orlando Robinson. He’s at the top of the top 10 for used assets by KenPom and even ranked 5th in the database’s Player of the Year ranking.

Robinson will be strong against a relatively soft defense inside Colorado State (opponents are shooting 51% more when trying for two points in the MWC game).

While the Rams have the highest rating stats of the season, they may be priced slightly higher, sitting in the middle of the pool since the Mountain West game started. ShotQuality believe the offense is indeed elite, 22nd in adjusted offense, but overall this team’s record is overblown. CSU has an 18-3 record, but they have a record more like a 15-6 club and I believe their down-trending offense will allow the Bulldogs to methodically cover spreads of more than two this limit.
