FREDERICK, MD (WJZ) – The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy shot a man overnight in the Knoxville area of Frederick County after he threatened to seriously injure the deputy.
Delegates were called to a property located in the 300 block of East Mountain Road around 11:15 p.m. Friday night to remove 22-year-old Jacob Christian Wilford after the man received a domestic violence protection order earlier in the evening.

The restraining order prohibits Wilford from leaving the property and from abusing or threatening to abuse the occupants of the mansion.
When the deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered Wilford hiding behind a barn and when they ordered him out, he threw an object at the deputies.
One of the delegates fired a single shot and hit Wilford in the arm.
