FREDERICK, MD (WJZ) – The Frederick County Health Board said the county’s mask rule will take effect immediately.
They continue to encourage all county residents to take steps to reduce the spread of illness in our community, such as immunizations and health promotion, avoidance of crowds, physical distancing, hand washing and Get tested when needed.
The deregulation comes after the COVID-19 case rate in Frederick County fell below 20 per 100,000 population, which is the threshold set when the regulation was introduced.
Any future mask regulation would require a new Health Council regulation.
