Four dead teenagers fighting for their lives in an accident in the Victorian countryside

A car crash in the Victoria region has killed four and airlifted a teenager to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The car, with five people on board, left Wannon-Nigretta Road in Bokhara and crashed into a tree around 9.30am.

According to initial reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Four women, all of whom have yet to be officially identified, died at the scene.

Another young girl was flown to the hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing and the area has been cordoned off.

Anyone who witnessed the accident or has information about it is asked to contact the police.
