Former WWE NXT star debuts at AEW Dark tappings

Marina Shafir made her All Elite Wrestling debut as she worked on Dark tapings on Friday at Universal Studios in Florida.

In the first session of the bout, the former WWE NXT star wrestled Kris Statlander in a singles match.

Shafir signed with WWE in 2018, but is not used as a regular wrestler on television. She is affiliated with Jessamyn Duke as a tag team and affiliated with Shayna Baslzer as part of the MMA Four Horsewomen.

Back in August 2020, she was on Raw Underground. The original plan called for her to become a part of Diamond Mine in NXT, where she will play the “female enforcer” role for the stables led by her real-life husband Roderick Strong, but was released by WWE in June.
