Former Packers CB Chandon Sullivan on Vikings signing: I’m not a traitor

After signing a new contract with the Minnesota Vikings, full-back Chandon Sullivan has gotten the attention of Packers fans.

Winger Chandon Sullivan surprised a lot of people this week, when he and the Minnesota Vikings struck a new deal. Sullivan has spent the past three years with the Green Bay Packers, starting 10 games for the team’s final campaign.

Now, Sullivan will be suing one of Green Bay’s biggest competitors. Packers fans weren’t too pleased with the defensive back, as they let him have it on Twitter. Over the weekend, Sullivan defended himself, telling everyone he was upset with him that he wasn’t a traitor.

From the quote above, it appears that Sullivan wants to return to the team, but he and general manager Brian Gutekunst can’t be on the same page. Because of this, Sullivan received a free management offer and decided the best move for his career was to join Minnesota.

That’s still hard to accept for Green Bay loyalists, as it’s been a difficult reason for them so far. While Aaron Rodgers is back on his multi-year contract, people still don’t believe Davante Adams won’t catch the ball from him next fall.

Adams was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders in one of the biggest deals of the year. Adams’ loss is huge for the offense, as it will be difficult to replace an All-Pro talent like him. Now, Sullivan’s signing with the Vikings has added another sting to the fan base.

He doesn’t hold any ill will towards the team, but it looks like Packers fans will be willing to boo him a lot when the Vikings head to Lambeau Field this season. Former Packers CB Chandon Sullivan on Vikings signing: I’m not a traitor
