Former Lakers champions are especially salty watching the Warriors parade

Former Los Angeles Lakers players Alex Caruso and Kyle Kuzma were tired of watching the Golden State Warriors’ NBA championship parade.

The Golden State Warriors are NBA champions again after beating the Boston Celtics in the Finals in six games. With that, a parade took place in the Bay Area. It’s the Warriors’ first since 2018.

While Warriors fans took the time to watch the parade on June 20, they shouldn’t be seeing these former players in 2020 Los Angeles Lakers Championship game hated to see it.

Alex Caruso, now with the Chicago Bulls, tweeted that watching the parade made him “sick.” Kyle Kuzma, now with the Washington Wizards, responded to his former teammate’s tweet and brought up the fact that the Lakers never got a save.

Caruso and Kuzma both won their first NBA titles after beating the Miami Heat in six games from the Orlando bubble amid the coronavirus pandemic. That’s what the Lakers announced hold a parade when it was “safe” to do so. But due to the pandemic, it never came to fruition.

The Lakers weren’t the only city team not to have a save. The Dodgers won the World Series that fall after beating the Tampa Bay Rays in six games, but there was no official celebration.

Los Angeles saw a save earlier this year when the Rams won Super Bowl 56 after beating the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20.

The Warriors had plenty of that unforgettable moments in their fourth championship save in the past eight years. They obviously plan on there being more in the near future. Former Lakers champions are especially salty watching the Warriors parade
