Former Kentucky basketball star Tyler Ulis injured but ‘good’ after accident

Former Kentucky basketball star Tyler Ulis broke his leg in a car crash but escaped death because he was “really good” despite it all.

The Kentucky basketball family can breathe a sigh of relief knowing former point guard Tyler Ulis is fine after being involved in a terrifying car crash.

Ulis was driving from Detroit to Toledo early Saturday morning when a woman is said to have hit his car head-on at 70 mph, following Ulis’ father, James, on the Lexington Herald-Leader.

“It was a tough game, but thank God he’s still alive,” he said.

Ulis has a broken ankle, a cut on his leg and a scratch on his face but his father says he is living a very good life emotionally.

“He’s really good considering what he’s been through,” he said. “Unbelievable.

The whole world found out about Ulis’ injury when he posted pictures of his broken leg on social networks.

When it was confirmed he was injured in an accident, there were many well wishes, including from Wildcats head coach John Calipari.

Ulis was a five-star player in the 2014 class, welcoming Kentucky to graduate high school. He has continued to live up to the hype as a Consensus American, SEC Player of the Year and Bob Cousey Award winner in 2016.

The Suns picked him in the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft, and he played for them for two seasons. He was acquitted in 2018 then had a brief stint with the Warriors and Bulls. He has been in the G-League since 2019.

His hopes of returning for another G-League season this March may have been dashed by this unfortunate turn of events, but there’s still a great sense of relief knowing it was all he was. he will miss out when considering what could happen.
