The posts included footage from a recent Rod Stewart concert, a photo of Ruffo in the hospital, and food snaps from dinner with friend Tahnee Sims and her mom.
Ruffo confirmed last year that his brain tumor diagnosis was terminal, but said he was determined to fight the disease as best he could and live life to the fullest.
“I understand that cancer is incurable, but you know, I’m going to do everything I can and I’m doing everything right now to kick his ass,” he told 7Life last year.
Ruffo’s fans applauded his latest post and encouraged him to “keep fighting and stay strong”.
“Thanks for sharing. We think of you often,” wrote one follower.
“You are an inspiration to all who lead the fight.
“I am sending you and your loved ones so much love and strength.”
“Looks like you’re having a great time! Have fun,” said another.
“You are a living legend Johnny stay strong and enjoy every day,” wrote a third.
One fan described Ruffo as “sweetheart” and “so brave”.
“A life lived boldly,” said another.
On March 8, Ruffo shared a photo for his 35th birthday as he posed with a delicious looking birthday dessert.
The former X Factor star celebrated his birthday in style by having lunch with loved ones at Nobu in Crown Sydney.
“35 and I feel safe!!!” he wrote.
“Grateful for another lap around the sun.
“Thanks to everyone for the many birthday wishes.”
Sims also shared a video update with footage from when they first met in 2015 to the most recent videos.
“Thanks for all the great memories babe xx,” the singer wrote in response to his partner’s sweet gesture.
The celebration came a week after Ruffo shared a treatment update.
He said he was “back in my favorite chair” and undergoing another round of chemotherapy.
He also hashtagged “I hate this chair” and “f*** cancer”.
The singer previously called chemotherapy treatments “not fun” in a September 2022 update.
“I feel like shit. I’m always tired just walking up a flight of stairs,” he exclusively told 7Life.
“When I get to the top, all I want to do is sleep.”
Last year, Ruffo spoke about his goals, saying he plans to move on to music and auditioning for acting roles, and to delve into presenting.
“Just everything I’ve done before,” he said.
“I felt like I was just scoring goals and I just couldn’t miss, and then suddenly the roof fell in,” he says of his 2017 diagnosis.
“I mean, I was like ‘damn.’ Everything just ground to a halt.
“And it went so well – I felt like I achieved everything I set out to achieve.
“Everything was just going in the right direction for me, so I want to pick up where I left off.”
