NFL DFS Showdown Picks: Thursday Night Football Week 12

Buffalo will enter this game with the majority of core defensive players and offensive skill players still intact. On the other hand, New Orleans does not have Alvin Kamara again and Mark Ingram III (knee) is limited in practice. Tight ending Adam Trautman was added to the injury reserve this week with his knee injury. They are also running thin with their touchline depth on both sides of the ball.

Buffalo Bills: 25.75 points

Midfielder

Last Sunday, Buffalo’s excellent defense suffered from the anomaly of letting go Jonathan Taylor to increase 5 hits including 4 on the ground. This is also a defense that has had two closures in the first month of the season. Josh Allen will need to regroup the team that has now lost three of their last five games after starting the season 4-1. The Saints have the fastest DVOA in the league, although they can be hit through the air with a midfield defense. New Orleans has allowed five hasty touchdowns to opposing signal callers in their last three games, including a trio allowed by the Jalen Hurts on Sunday. Allen is eighth in the league with 281.1 yards of passes per game, and he’s also the second-most passes for the Bills.

Run again

Remember how frustrating it was last year and for most of this season trying to figure out who was the best player between Devin Singletary and Zack Moss on a week to week basis? Now add journeyman Matt Breida into the mixture dilutes more opportunities. In Week 10, each of these defenders scored quick touches while Breida also scored many goals. Last week, it was basically a three-way split with each seeing opportunity behind. Include the solid defense they are facing and have their back four as potential encounter vultures and we have a very confusing situation. All three are capable receivers with each having at least one outing with three or more goals in the past three weeks. Breida stands out as the cheapest option on both sites, though that would enhance his popularity.

Wide receiver

Stefan Diggs (93) and Cole Beasley (74) easily lead the group in goals with Emmanuel Sanders (58) rounds off the top three while the next closest pick is behind 20. Diggs is at or within the top 10 this season in terms of goal, contact, yardage and touchdown. Beasley is much better at full PPR formats as he tends to work in short lines and has only one encounter during the season. Sanders is a wild card and while he has a pair of two-touch games that represent his only score and he hasn’t finished last since Week 5. Allen doesn’t usually lock down any of the machines. any collection and we can see this with three different players leading the team to double-digit goals in the last three turns.

Tight ending

Dawson Knox (hand) seems to have left his most recent injury and he had a 10-goal high last week. He has a clear lead for the position with 38 goals while Tommy Sweeney only 11, six of those came in the two games that Knox had on shelves.

Defense / Special Team

Buffalo are bottom of the standings with just under two bags per game while New Orleans has the fifth-least number of bags allowed despite a starting trio of quarterbacks. The Bills lead the league with 2.4 points per game including 15 interceptions while the Saints suffer just over one rotation per appearance.

New Orleans Saints: 19.25 points

Midfielder

Trevor Siemian capable of starting over again, however, Taysom Hill (foot) is a full week workout participant and he will be in the mix below center and potentially a backrunner or receiver when the Saints try to spark their attack without no player their best. Even after being eliminated last week, Buffalo still has DVOA leading the season. Neither Siemian nor Hill are effective passers down the field, so the Saints are likely to rely on short, misdirected passes and some low-risk dribbling. They are clearly missing Alvin Kamara and of course the recipient Michael Thomas but what is really going to be hard to overcome is their lack of depth in attack as at least two and three positions are likely to be occupied by reserves tonight.

Run again

Mark Ingram III (knee) can only train for a limited time twice in the short-term week and he is expected to be the match-timer. The next man is an incomplete rookie Tony Jones Jr. (ankle) who missed six weeks while the injured reserve. Jones was activated last week, played 10 times. He’ll probably get the first crack of things if Ingram comes out with Dwayne Washington and Ty Montgomery are also working.

Wide receiver

Marquez Callaway, Deonte Harris and Tre’Quan blacksmith lead in this position, though how many teams outside of New Orleans will start for any of these trio is a very relevant and bleak question. Kenny Stills, Lil’Jordan Humphrey and Kevin White will run routes, however the trio only had nine combined goals in the last month. Look AwesemoShopper Rate we can see that the books have predicted Siemian for 202.5 yards of passage, which doesn’t bode well for anyone who stands out for fantasy production.

Tight ending

Some combinations of Juwan Johnson, Nick Vannett and Garrett Griffin will fill in Adam Trautman. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Hill lining up at the low as well as in the red zone or any other high leverage situation. Sorry, condolences to the Saints fans.

Defense / Special Team

Both teams are in the middle of the revenue rankings with around 1.5 giveaways/gifts per contest. New Orleans is averaging 2.3 sacks per game while the Bills allow third least at 1.5 per tilt.

Thursday Night Football One-Game NFL DFS Strategy

The leaderboards below are best used for one-entry and three-maximum lineups and for head-to-head and three-man formats. They provide a nice barometer for player value, but for those using the MME strategy, remember that correlation is key. This means matching one or two receivers with a midfielder in a Captain/MVP position. This also works in reverse of pairing a Captain/MVP pass catcher with their quarterback.

NFL DFS Showdown Top 10 Picks

  1. Josh Allen: It’s not even close.
  2. Stefan Diggs: Comes with a hefty premium, though with all Saints wounds there are plenty of discounted dandelions.
  3. Trevor Siemian: This may not sound good, but it is likely that coach Sean Payton will need Hill in other positions today.
  4. Cole Beasley: Should stick to short goals, great gameplay on DraftKings, neutral choice with FanDuel when there is no possibility of upside down. Beasley on the stone board Turkey Day is a long honored tradition.
  5. Mark Ingram / Tony Jones: If Ingram starts he is still at risk of injury during the game, if he is sidelined Jones will have to play.
  6. Dawson Knox: Steal on FanDuel for just $7,500 from 10 targets.
  7. Taysom Hill: The salary is in line with 6-8 chances, remember he has more than six imaginary points in just two of his seven games.

  9. Emmanuel Sanders: You can bet he’s happy to leave New Orleans.
