The Vancouver Canucks are close to a strong 5-2 win over the Seattle Kraken in their final game and are looking to keep the momentum going for tonight’s game against the Calgary Flames. It was the end of three games in Vancouver’s home favour, but the finale could be spoiled by the Flames, one of the hottest teams in the NHL at the moment. Calgary is bringing a 10-game winning streak with them when it comes to Vancouver and it looks like it’s almost impossible to beat right now.
The Flames are 30-13-6 and secure first place in the Pacific Division with a four-point lead over the Las Vegas Golden Knights. Their last loss was at the hands of Saint Louis Blues on January 27. Here are the odds for tonight’s match, due to WynnBET Sportsbook.
While the flames are burning, it’s worth noting that seven of the ten wins in this streak have come at their home turf. Calgary actually hasn’t even played a game on the road since February 4 in Arizona. Having said that, The Flames have won three of their last four laning matches. While they received a lot of help from the extended home phase, the Flames didn’t play much pressure and were beaten by a lot of very good teams.
This is especially true on the defensive end of things. The Flames have not conceded more than two goals in their last eight games, including the elimination of the Golden Knights and the Blue Jackets. They also closed the Canucks the last time they met on January 30.
I have no reason to go up against the strongest team in the NHL and will look to dominate Vancouver for the second time in a row.
Pick: Flames -1.5 (+152)
