Fixtures, scores, standings, live stream, results AFCON 2022: Ghana eliminated with defeat to Comoros
The Africa Cup of Nations is officially taking place with 24 countries aiming for the supremacy of the continent. Algeria are the defending champions, led by Manchester City’s Riyad Mahrez, while Senegal, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Morocco are all contenders. Six groups will see two teams each advance to the round of 16, while the four best third-placed teams also advance.
Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Guinea, Morocco, Gabon and Nigeria qualified for the 16th round. However, Ghana was knocked out of the competition on Tuesday, suffering a surprise 3-2 defeat by the Comoros.
