Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards after he shared a joke about his wife Jada Smith. Rock hosted the event and made jokes about everyone in the audience. Then taking aim at Jada Pinkett Smith, he said: “Javier Bardem and his wife are both nominated. If she loses now, he can’t win. He’s praying that Will Smith wins, please Lord. jada i love you ‘GI Jane 2’, can’t wait to see it, ok?”
Jada suffers from alopecia areata. In alopecia areata, the immune system mistakenly attacks hair follicles, causing inflammation. Researchers don’t fully understand what causes the immune attack on the hair follicles, but they believe both genetic and environmental (non-genetic) factors play a role. (H/T NDTV.com)

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones also watched this go down when it happened and he was pumped by the incident. He took to Twitter to respond to this situation and here are his tweets. “Anyone watch the Oscars? Will Smith is a gangster for that, Chris Rock was the ultimate pro for the way he carried on.”
Someone pointed out that the incident was fake, and Jones wrote: “I’ll have to watch that again, looked pretty real to me.”
will shares a complicated relationship with Jada, and this outburst may have been the result of all that stress. He apologized to everyone in the audience while accepting the Best Actor award. He didn’t mention Chris Rock, but it sure was an emotional moment.
