Farmer is looking for a woman in 2022: nerves are on edge when hopefuls meet families for the first time

It’s often the scariest part of a new relationship — meeting your partner’s family for the first time.

On Sunday night’s episode of Farmer Wants A Wife, Harry, Will, Ben, Paige and Benjamin introduced their parents to the men and women on their farms – with some interesting results.

Harry’s mother has been quite open about some of the downsides of farm life, but wanted to provide a reality check.

Harry’s childhood best friend, Grace, also had a chance to meet his ladies.

Paige’s mother and younger sister met Cody and Ayden, with Paige admitting to her sister that she wanted to kiss Cody but feared she “forgot how to flirt.”

“I guess in that sense I’d like someone else to make the move, but they can’t read my mind,” she said.

“I have a hard time getting up and doing this.”

Will’s mother, father and older sister came to check on Jess, Holly and Madi.

Will’s sister loved Jess’ vibe and also had a lot of good things to say about Madi, calling her a “legend”.

Benjamin’s sister was there to meet Erin, Lyndsay and Hannah after newcomer Madelene was sent home and failed to form a romantic connection.

She said she found Hannah a little reluctant but liked Erin’s understanding of what farm life actually entailed.

Ben’s mother and father met with his ladies to see if anyone was willing to take responsibility for a four-year-old stepdaughter – Ben’s little girl from a previous relationship.

Farmers’ families were given the ultimate power to decide who should be taken on the last one-on-one date.

Harry’s family saw that he might be falling for newcomer Bronte, so she got the last date tick.

Benjamin’s sister chose Erin because she could really see that she fit into country life and bonded well with Benjamin’s family.

Will’s family chose Jess because they felt he needed a little more time with her to see if there was something deeper behind the banter and fun.

For Paige’s family, Cody earned the nod of approval because they felt these two needed some quality time together.

Eventually, Ben’s mom and dad gave Leish the last date, which hit Kiani where it hurts.

After his parents left, Kiani left the house in tears, disappointed that she was denied some alone time with Ben when Leish was about to go on their third solo date.

Ben went outside to comfort Kiani, assuring her that he felt something for her and that she had to have the confidence not to leave.

“I trust you,” she replied before they embraced long and hard.

Things are really getting closer to the series’ sharp end now – and it looks like hearts are about to break no matter how the cookie crumbles.
