Fantasy RB Leaderboard Week 12: Who starts, in what position to run back in fantasy football

Thanksgiving week has always been tough for fantasy football owners. They’re naturally distracted with holiday plans, and Thursday’s three games tend to give them more of a head start. That is especially true in a position like running back, which continues to be the revolving door of key players in and out of the squad. Our Fantasy Week 12 RB Ranking takes all of these factors into account to help make your Thanksgiving (and Black Friday) a little less stressful.
Luckily, only two teams (Cardinals, Chiefs) bid their goodbyes this week, and while this takes away a major James Conner producer, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Darrel Williams could be in for more trouble than they are. with their value when CEH is healthy again . You can worry about that in Week 13.
WEEK 12 STANDARD RANKING:
Midfielder | Wide receiver | Tight ending | VND / ST | Kicker
Kareem Hunt (calf) is eligible to play at IR this week, and if he’s ready, he’ll head into a favorable game against Baltimore. Miles Sanders (@ Giants), who returned last week, is in a similar situation. Both will be worth at least flex points in all formats.
WEEK 12 PPR RANKING:
Midfielder | Run back | Wide receiver | Tight ending | VND / ST | Kicker
Many committee situations are still ongoing. Alex Collins and the rest of the Seahawks (@Washington), Latavius Murray and Devonta Freeman (versus Browns), Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson (vs Titans), and David Johnson and Rex Burkhead (versus Jets) are all Difficult calls. It’s hard to say who will carry more (especially around the finish line) in any of those committees, and with varying levels of play, it’s even harder to know who you can trust. . Harris is the one with the most TDs, putting him in line for a starting spot, but that’s tough on any of the rest. Houston’s two defenders are by far the best matchup for RB, so it feels like at least one will pay off, but even with a favorable game, both are on low points.
One committee well positioned this week is Denver duo Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams (vs Chargers). Game time isn’t any clearer after last week’s goodbye, but with a defensive game that allowed the FPPG to finish second with RB, both Gordon and Williams should feature in most fantasy lineups. Jeff Wilson Jr. (vs. Vikings), Tony Pollard (vs. Raiders), JD McKissic (vs. Seahawks) and Jordan Howard (@ Giants) are other sub-backs with the potential to be versatile thanks to favorable games. As usual, none of the units have overly high ceilings, but they will have higher floors this week.
There are two prominent committees that are in particularly bad positions, as D’Onta Foreman and Adrian Peterson (@Patriots) and Devin Singletary and Zack Moss (@Saints) have two of the worst matches for the job. run backwards. Overall, how low their respective exchanges are, you can’t count on any price this week. The same may be true of Myles Gaskin (versus the Panthers), but he’s dominating the Dolphins’ backyard touches, so he’s still valuable for versatility, especially in PPR tournaments , based on volume.
This is considered the “stick to your stars” type of the week. There were some tough games for the key players, like Jonathan Taylor (vs. Buccaneers), Dalvin Cook (@49ers), Leonard Fournette (@Colts), Joe Mixon (vs Steelers) and Darrell Henderson (@ Packers) , but the players are all too good to sit. Injuries will no doubt make this position change over the weekend, but we’ll address that as the practice reports roll out.
Note: We’ll be updating these RB leaderboards throughout the week, so check back for the latest player analysis and movements.
