Fans bring up Omarion after Mario completes Usher ‘Superstar’ Vocal Challenge

Mario continues to show his fans why he was crowned the victor of last month’s “Verzuz” fight against Omarion by uploading his version of Usher’s “Superstar” Singing Challenge.
The trend, which started with singer Eric Bellinger and regained popularity after Usher’s “Tiny Desk” performance on June 30, involves a person mimicking the singer’s walk from his 2004 song. The track “Superstar” was included on Usher’s chart-topping album “Confessions”.

In an Instagram post shared on July 28, Mario began the video by saying, “Look at this,” while placing his fingers near his eyes and moving them from side to side. This was a gesture similar to Usher’s during his Tiny Desk performance and instantly became a viral meme on social media.
The clip continues with the 35-year-old chanting the word “Oh” at length and closing the run with the words “Baby, baby.” In addition to the upload, Mario was promoting his upcoming concert with Omarion and Pleasure P at MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
He wrote: “TMRW! 7/29 DC, meet me at the show @MGMNationalHarbor. VIP’s MEET & GREETS sold out. Me @[email protected] Giving you a great R&B night.” As fans watched the recording, many brought up Mario’s “Verzuz” competitor Omarion. The majority of comments mentioned that Omarion is unable to hit those vocal runs.
“Omelons can’t do that live.”
“OMARION CAN’T DO THIS… JUST SAY LOL.”
“Omarion can’t do that”
“Omarion could nevaaaa”
“O is about to dance his heart out.”
Among the previous answers, others praised Mario for his vocal ability. One wrote: “No one can play with Mario!!! The vocals hit hard like a beat!.” Another said, “You must NOT be vocally toyed around, PERIOD killed it!!!”
While claiming that Mario is willing to embarrass people who say they can sing by flaunting his talent, a third Instagram user explained, “@marioworldwide you remain embarrassing for these guys who.” swear they can sing and I love that about you!!”
This video comes weeks after Omarion accused Mario of tampering with his audio equipment during the ‘Verzuz’ battle in an interview with 107.5 WGCI. Following the allegation, Mario took to his Instagram story on July 16 and denied those claims.
He wrote: “This guy! How can anyone sabotage your vocal cords, bro?! Quit smoking, bruv! That’s it fam! Some artists can’t! You are not one of them. Listen, I didn’t have the best voice that night. But I refuse to blame anyone. You had those watermelon seeds stuck in your windpipe. Leave ‘Rio’ out of it.”
