The Chargers once again had the lead in the AFC West after going 5-3 for the year. Justin Herbert recovered from unappealing games with 356 yards and two touchdowns while Dustin Hopkins knocked in a game-winning goal with just two seconds left to beat the Eagles by 27- 24. The win ended a two-boarder, though Los Angeles’ inability to stop the run became increasingly unsettling each week. It is allowed a minimum of 142 yards in each of the past four games and now faces Dalvin Cook. But those who place the odds prefer Chargers at home, where they open up as a small favorite.

If only the Vikings could play the full four quarters. They led Raven to 14 in the second half of last week before dropping 21 points unanswered and ultimately losing in extra time. Minnesota has a position where it looks competitive with most people. But then it also had too many inconsistent performances. Last week, the Vikings held the ball half as long as the Ravens and still had a chance to win. It can be said that it is a sign of competitiveness. At this point, it’s more of a disappointment.
