Expert Predictions for NFL Week 12 – The Athletic

It’s rare to see Aaron Rodgers play the way he did in Minnesota last week and still lose. The Packers fell 34-31 to the Vikings as a last-second goal was enough to eclipse the defending MVP’s 385 yards, four touchdown day. Green Bay stretched to 13 points before taking the lead in the fourth quarter. After the Packers and Vikings exchanged points to tie the game, Minnesota used the remaining meter to drive down the field for the winning kick. Packers offense is administered without Aaron Jones, as Rodgers had his best performance of the season. But Green Bay’s defenses were off. With Jare Alexander remains out, no defenses available to stop Justin Jefferson (169 yards received, two touches) and the Packers allowed a season-high 318 passing yards. Green Bay still open as 1-point favorites this week, with a perfect 5-0 score of the year.

But if Green Bay’s defense continues to struggle, it will be a much-needed period of time for the Rams. Los Angeles dropped head-to-head games after saying goodbye to their two worst offensive performances this season. Most recently, it was a 31-10 loss at the 49ers. Matthew Stafford has the second most game in a row when fouling not to the top 300 yards. In both games, Los Angeles had to play from behind because of the split. Some early Sunday drive could indicate how this will turn out. The Rams are on 4-1 if you find the choice uncomfortable. Be warned; they are only 1-4 compared to the spread in those games.
