The primary game cycle of Dredge revolves around you exploring the ocean, catching fish, selling them in one of the ports on the islands, and buying upgrades for your ship. You have the ability to do this during the day, but it becomes more dangerous at night, and if you choose not to sleep, your character’s overall level of panic and hallucinations will increase.

The main story is driven by Finding the five relics which you need to find for the Collector, a mysterious character you meet shortly after finding your first abnormal fish and completing the Grotesque Fish quest. These five relics are scattered across the many islands.

There are several side quests for you to complete along the way. These are the side quests that you can expect while playing Dredge.
