The 148th edition of the Kentucky Derby is upon us, with hopes for just as much excitement but less post-race drama than last year.

On Saturday, 20 horses and their jockeys will race around Churchill Downs in search of victory.

Last year, Medina Spirit stole the show, but the horse’s race win was quashed after testing positive for banned substances. Coach Bob Baffert has now been suspended and the racing world can put this saga behind in celebration for a new Derby winner.

The Triple Crown season opener race will air on NBC, with USA Network coverage beginning at 12:00 p.m. ET before moving to NBC at 2:30 p.m. ET.
