EverQuest and EverQuest II are preparing new servers and spring content

Letters from producers are being distributed left and right across the EverQuest franchise this week. In EverQuest IIKael Drakkel’s Lore and Legends server will be available to all players until April 25th and will give away free pets to make it “friendlier” to newcomers.

Next up for the MMO is the release of Update 122: Empire of Antiquity, followed by the PvP server Zarrakon TLE later this month. Also, the Tarinax and Kaladim servers will be merged with Antonia Bayle in April.

As for EverQuestthe classic MMO promises that the new UI engine is “almost there” and will be implemented piecemeal over a number of weeks and months.

Daybreak announced that a new progression server called Oakwynd for EverQuest coming in May as an “Evolving Ruleset” shard. This experimental approach will feature different rules and bonuses with each expansion unlocked, and will give all legacy characters an XP boost.
