Ever After Cast reunites on The Drew Barrymore Show

Drew, Melanie Lynskey and Megan Dodds all slipped back into their iconic costumes for the reunion before being surprised by Dougray Scott.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Ever After, and Drew Barrymore celebrated the occasion by reuniting her stepsisters for a special reunion episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, fairy wings and all.
“Here we are in a time machine twenty-five years ago because it’s the twenty-fifth anniversary of ‘Ever After,'” announced an emotional Drew on Tuesday’s episode. “I literally can’t even believe I get to be here with my sisters, my stepsisters Melanie Lynskey and Megan Dodds.”
The three actresses came together for the show in full costume – and they look just as gorgeous in it as they did when the film was released in 1998!

“Ever After” is a retelling of the classic fairy tale Cinderella, with a few twists. The film places Cinderella, or in this case Danielle, in Renaissance France and has some notable differences from the original story. Drew starred while Lynskey and Dodds played their stepsisters.
Dougray Scott also made a surprise virtual appearance on the show — also in costume — and spoke to Drew about his experience getting the part.
“I auditioned for the role in London and kind of got turned down in the first round of auditions, but my agent somehow managed to get me back in the room,” Scott said. “I pleaded… I think that’s how I got the part.
Drew had nothing but kind words to say to her prince charming.
“I mean, there was nobody else,” said the actress, now 48. “If I’ve been lucky enough to be part of this reinterpretation of a fairy tale, I’ve never thought twice about what we little girls say about waiting for the prince to save them, which has worked well for centuries.”
“…until you came along and rescued me,” Scott said, interjecting.

Her co-stars also revealed information about the filming that Drew previously didn’t know.
“Is it true and I didn’t know that,” Barrymore asked, “You guys lived together during production? Tell me everything!”
The two stars shared that while they lived together, they took nude photos in a corn field.
“I don’t know what I was thinking at the time, and it was just, oh, that would be really great, let’s take topless pics in the cornfield,” Dodds said.
Drew also shared a similar experience with a costar other Movie.
“Lucy Liu also took nude pictures of me on ‘Charlie’s Angels,'” shared Drew. “I guess that’s what us girls do. Oh to be a girl.”
The full episode airs today.
