EVE Online’s surprise Doctor Who crossover event goes live

Like it or not (and the opinion widely shared around here seems to be “no”), the crossover event between the Doctor Who TV series and the cosmic sandbox of EVE Online To be now available to players. The so-called Interstellar Convergence brings the menacing Daleks to the world of New Eden between now and Tuesday, February 1.

There are several steps required for those who are looking to participate in the event. Players will need to locate the Warp Matrix Convergence, which supplies the materials needed to craft a special rope, which opens up a whole new space zone dedicated to this crossover event. This unique area has hidden artifacts and documents to find, as well as a Dalek ship to battle. Completing this event will yield various rewards such as Doctor-inspired SKINs, pilot and booster skins, and other gadgets.

In case the event is attracting new pilot shows, CCP Games has come up with a “Whovian’s Beginner’s Guide” as well added some Ai themed packs to the play store cosmetic package, Omega and PLEX level access among other features.
