“Angus Cloud died from a lethal combination of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and a suspected accidental overdose,” a coroner’s spokesman told CNN on Thursday.

“Angus suffered acute intoxication from the combination of medications, which included benzodiazepines.”

In a statement announcing Cloud’s death, his family said it was “with heavy hearts that they had to say goodbye to an incredible human being today.”

“Last week he buried his father and struggled intensely with this loss,” the statement said.

“The only comfort we have is knowing that Angus is now reunited with his father, who was his best friend.

“Angus was open about his struggle with his mental health and we hope his death can remind others that they are not alone and should not fight this battle in silence alone.”

“We hope the world remembers him for his humor, his laughter and his love for everyone.

“We ask for privacy at this time as we continue to process this devastating loss.”

Cloud’s breakthrough role came as Fezco, a good-natured drug dealer who cared deeply for Rue, played by Zendaya, in 2019’s Euphoria.

The Oakland native recalled in an interview with iD in March how he was discovered by a casting agent on the streets of Brooklyn.

“I definitely thought it might be some kind of scam,” he laughed.

“Then they brought me back and showed me the role and it made more sense.

“Because I thought they stopped me because I looked like I could be a star?

“Then I think, No, it’s because I look like I could be a drug dealer.”

When Euphoria came along, Cloud said he was surprised by his own success.

“The difference between me and everyone else who is famous is that for the most part they tried to be famous,” he told the publication.

“They worked hard and thought, ‘I’m going to make it to the top.’

“It was just too good an opportunity for me to say no.

“I didn’t think it would come to this.”

In addition to his breakout role on “Euphoria,” Cloud appeared in the films “The Line,” “North Hollywood” and in music videos for stars like Becky G and Juice WRLD.

Cloud is attached to star in an upcoming untitled thriller from Universal Pictures.

He also stars opposite Pedro Pascal in the Oakland-set drama “Freaky Tales,” which ended production in January.

The news of Cloud’s death caused great sadness among fans and fellow actors.

“I can’t believe this is real,” one Twitter user wrote at the time.

“He was way too young and way too talented,” said a second.

“I can’t believe it, my heart is broken,” another added.

Euphoria co-star Zendaya wrote: “Words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty of Angus.”

“I am so grateful to have had the chance to know him in this life, to call him brother, to see his warm, kind eyes and bright smile, or to hear his infectious laugh (I smile now just thinking about it). I know people use that phrase a lot when talking about people they love… ‘They could light up any room they walked into,’ but boy, I’m telling you, he was the best at it,” she added .

“That’s how I want to remember him.

“With all the boundless light, love and joy that he has always given us.

“I will cherish every moment.”
