Errol Spence Jr. defeats Yordenis Ugas by knockout, keeping the undefeated record intact

Errol Spence Jr. maintained his unbeaten record, defeating Yordenis Ugas by KO to retain his WBC and IBF welterweight titles and win the WBA belt on Saturday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The knockout occurred in the 10th round. Spence Jr. advanced to the 10th round after dominant rounds in #8 and #9. Spence Jr. was in control of the fight and recorded the TKO after Ugas was unable to continue due to his swollen right eye.

Spence (28-0) fought for the first time since December 5, 2020 when he defeated Danny Garcia. The 32-year-old improved to 7-0 in the title fight.

Ugas (27-5), who earned a shot at Spence after beating Manny Pacquiao last August, lost for the first time since losing to Shawn Porter on March 9, 2019.
