Erling Haaland transfer to Manchester City reportedly ‘agreed’

Erling Haaland’s move to Manchester City is said to be a done deal. The Norwegian striker is one of the best players in the world.

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland’s days in Germany are over after The Athletic UK reported on Monday that the Norwegian star was moving to Manchester City.

The sports site called the move a “done deal” likely to be confirmed sometime this week.

The 21-year-old Norwegian striker has scored 21 goals in 23 Bundesliga games, making him one of Europe’s top scorers in recent years.

Rumors about Manchester City: Erling Haaland is moving to the EPL

Haaland joined Borussia Dortmund in 2020 after attracting attention with his performances at Red Bull Salzburg in the 2019/20 season. Haaland also scored 85 goals in 88 games for Dortmund during his time there. He has also played for the senior Norwegian team since 2019, scoring 15 goals in 17 appearances.

Sky Sports reported Haaland recently told Dortmund he would be leaving the club at the end of the season, the first step in making the transfer possible.

Haaland’s impending arrival at Man City would give the team an offensive boost. Man City have won plenty of silver medals under Pep Guardiola but the addition of Haaland offensively could be what they need to win the Champions League.

Man City were eliminated by Spanish giants Real Madrid in the Champions League semifinals last week.

The potential move will be the first of many as the domestic season ends across Europe in the coming weeks and the summer transfer season heats up. Erling Haaland transfer to Manchester City reportedly ‘agreed’
