Elder Scrolls Online previews Necrom’s Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha

Where’s the hype train? Elder Scrolls Online necrome? Well, maybe this week’s blog post is the first burst of steam from the engine, as ZeniMax posted one Preview for the two core zones of the expansion: the Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha.

The peninsula will be familiar to longtime fans of the Elder Scrolls series and of Elder Scrolls Online itself, as it’s a part of mainland Morrowind that shares some of the environmental and architectural vibes of its neighbors – complete with towering mushrooms – without all the hustle and bustle of Vvardenfell. Its center is Necrom itself, the “spiritual center for Dark Elves in all of Morrowind” as it is a city of the dead in every sense of the word.

Apocrypha, however, are a little more alien: they are, quite literally, the Daedric realm owned by the Daedric lord of destiny, Hermaeus Mora. Filled with abyssal pools, spooky tentacles and spooky books, this slimy green lair is responsible for all of the game’s acid-spattered screenshots.

Necrom launches in less than four weeks on May 5th for PC and June 20th for consoles; In the meantime you can get familiarized myself with the lore of the country.
