Elden Ring expansion announced, called Shadow of the Erdtree

FromSoftware just announced a major expansion for most people’s game of the year 2022, elden ring, is under development. It’s called Shadow of the Earth Tree.

The announcement was made via Twitter:

Rise, tainted one, and let us walk a new path together. An upcoming expansion for #ELDENRING Shadow of the Erdtree is currently in development. We hope you look forward to new adventures in The Lands Between.

As well as on the official site of the gamewhere it was also announced that the expansion is expected to come to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

And that’s it! That was all that was announced. Just the title, platforms and this single piece of art. Until further notice, please don’t hesitate to speculate wildly about the size, focus and content of the expansion.
