Canelo Alvarez has been making waves in the martial arts field lately. Eddy Reynoso, his trainer, is more than convinced that he is indeed the greatest Mexican fighter of all time. But does he really deserve such a high title?
Despite doubts raised after his fight with Dmitry Bivol, Reynoso is confident Canelo will dominate in 2023. With a scheduled fight against John Ryder in May and a much-anticipated rematch with Bivol expected in September, the Mexican superstar has a lot to prove.
Canelo Alvarez: The unbreakable warrior with eyes on the prize
Canelo’s recent left wrist injury Fans are wondering if he can fight three times this year, possibly against the likes of Caleb Plant or David Benavidez. Will he be able to defend all four belts and silence his critics? One thing is for sure, Canelo’s upcoming fight against John Ryder has drawn criticism from fans and analysts alike. But Reynoso isn’t worried. He promises that they won’t let their fans down and will defend all four belts that Canelo brought with him.

While bivol is considered Canelo’s main rival, other potential opponents are waiting in the wings. David Benavidez and Jermell Charlo are both potential opponents for late 2023 and if Canelo decides to fight three times this year he could face two top fighters. It’s not just his impressive record or raw talent. Canelo consistently demonstrates in the octagon that he is undoubtedly a great warrior.

Alvarez: The boxing maverick who stole hearts and made history
Canelo’s status as the greatest Mexican boxer of all time will no doubt be challenged. One thing is certain though, his legacy has already entered the annals of martial arts history. Few fighters can even begin to imagine the feats he has made possible, and his tenacity to maintain his championships and take on the most difficult opponents speaks volumes about his character and passion.
As such, all we can do is sit back and admire Canelo’s talent as he prepares to fight his next opponent in the ring. He will live on as a shining example of what it means to be a true fighter, regardless of whether he ends up being the best Mexican fighter of all time, a “purebred” GOAT.
