Ed Harris and Vanessa Hudgens are among the cast to star in the Lily Rabe-directed film adaptation of the novel DOWNTOWN OWL – GeekTyrant
The film adaptation of the novel downtown owl has found its cast, with an Oscar nominee EdHarris, Vanessa Hudgens, Finn Wittrock, Jack Dylan Grazerand August Blanco Rosensteinas well as Lili Rabewho, along with his longtime collaborator, will take on the lead role and co-direct Hamish Linklater. The story is based on the novel by Chuck Klosterman, with Linklater adapting the screenplay.
“Set somewhere in rural North Dakota in 1983, the story is the fictional town called Owl, where you won’t find cable or pop culture, but you will find a downtown area with a top Chevrolet dealership, three bars, and a new high school English teacher at the school, whose presence turns local lives upside down just in time for a blizzard for eternity.”
That sounds like an interesting story, and the book has great reviews, so I’ll be adding it to my reading list while we wait for this movie to get made.
