Earthworm Jim 2 and other NES/SNES classics are available now for Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo has announced that three classic games from the NES and Super NES library will be coming to Nintendo Switch Online. These games include a sequel to the cult favorite Earthworm Jim, Dig Dug II and Mappy-Land. All three games are available now for members of the Nintendo Switch Online service.

Earthworm Jim 2 is an action shooter released in 1995 on the SNES. Everyone’s favorite earthworm named Jim returns in this sequel and once again dons his favorite super suit to try again to save Princess What’s-Her-Name. In this game, Jim teams up with his friend Snott and must prevent a marriage between the princess and the evil Psy-Crow.

Dig Dug II is an action-puzzle game that was released to arcades in 1985 before being ported to the NES. Where the original Dig Dug had players dig under enemies and attempt to capture or inflate them, Dig Dug II lets the player explore an entire island to themselves. Players still have to dig holes to stop enemies, and parts of the island will collapse depending on your actions.

Mappy-Land is a platform adventure game released on the NES in 1986. It is a sequel to the arcade game Mappy. Mappy-Land plays the policeman Mouse and his task is to find gifts hidden by the cat mafia all over the city.
