Eagles freshman parked in MNF general parking lot after being unrecognized by attendants

Philadelphia Eagles rookie Britain Covey was forced to park in the general lot because he was not recognized by Lincoln Financial Field lot attendants.

That Philly Eagles played their first home game of the 2022 season on Monday night when they hosted the Minnesota Vikings. As with every home game, there is a lot of traffic jams in the parking lot. Speaking of the parking lot, there was a huge faux pas by the attendants.

Rookie wide receiver Britain Covey was denied access to the player’s parking lot, according to 94.1 WIP’s Howard Eskin. Instead, he had to park in the general parking lot and pay the parking fee. A fan confirmed this when taking a picture with Covey.

If you need further confirmation, hear it from Covey himself. Covey said he had a pass for the practice squad and his teammates told him to let the followers know he’d been placed on the active roster. The orderlies apologized and refused him entry. Covey was in good spirits, as you can see in the video Eskin tweeted.

Covey played for the Utah Utes for five seasons in college. He caught 184 passes for 2,011 yards and 11 touchdowns. Covey returned 92 punts for 1,092 yards and four touchdowns, and 33 kicks and 838 yards and a touchdown.

The Eagles signed Covey as an undrafted free agent and played in Philadelphia’s first two games that season. In Week 1 against the Detroit Lions, Covey returned two punts for 13 yards. Against the Vikings in Week 2, Covey returned three punts for 14 yards.

It’s been quite a Monday night for Covey with the parking problem, but as you can see in the video, he took it easy.
