Eagles draft bust Jalen Reagor wants revenge for some reason

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jalen Reagor wants revenge on the Philadelphia Eagles, the team that drafted him in 2020 and traded him in 2022.

Just before the start of the 2022 NFL regular season, the Philly Eagles made a trade. The team traded wide receiver Jalen Reagor, their 2020 first-round pick, to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for a 2023 seventh-round pick and a 2024 conditional fourth-round pick. Reagor is known to have played in his first two Hasn’t worked with the Eagles in years in the league.

The NFL happened to schedule the Eagles and viking to face off against each other in Week 2 on Monday night despite not knowing there would be a Reagor swap between the two teams. Before the game, Reagor didn’t deny that he has revenge on his mind when playing against his former team.

In the 2020 NFL Draft, the Eagles and Vikings were looking for a wide receiver, and the class was remarkably deep. But it was Philadelphia that had the choice between TCU’s Reagor and LSU’s Justin Jefferson when they faced the No. 21 pick on the clock. The Eagles picked Reagor and the Vikings picked Jefferson in the next pick.

Reagor didn’t fare as the team expected. In his rookie year, Reagor played in 11 games, hitting 31 of 54 goals for 396 yards and a touchdown. Last season, Reagor played in all 17 games and recorded 33 receptions for 299 yards and a touchdown. Of his incompletenesses in 2021, Reagor dropped four of them, per pro football reference.

Now Reagor is teammates with Jefferson.

In Minnesota’s season-opening win over the Green Bay Packers, Reagor was not a factor in the passing attack. However, he returned a punt for seven yards. Meanwhile, Jefferson caught nine passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns.

The Eagles started their 2022 season with a 38-35 win over the Detroit Lions.

It will be interesting to see how Reagor fares against the team that traded him in the first round two years after his draft.
