EA reveals pre-pre-pre-alpha skate gameplay, looks amazing

EA has finally pulled the griptape off next developer Full Circle skate game… sort of. It’s not like there’s an official release date or any definitive news other than the fact that the team is “still working on it.” However, today EA Full Circle released some “pre-pre-pre-alpha” gameplay footage showing what was in the works and yes this is new skate The game looks damn good.

You may have already seen some of this footage. Pre-alpha gameplay of the next skate Game – colloquially called skate 4although it should actually say Sk4teleaked in April. It featured a similar open-world skateboarding as skate 3 but a bit more arcade-y and expansive, with hilarious ragdoll physics and some solid looking skateboard mechanics. EA pulled that footage, but now it’s ready to show us more. The publisher posted a minute and a half video on Twitter and youtube of what to expect when this game launches and seems like it’s taking inspiration current skateboard games like meeting and Skater XL.

So yes, this is absolutely pre-pre-pre-alpha. But what’s on display here looks really solid. The sound of polyurethane wheels scraping asphalt or the end of the board sliding over a metal rail sounds perfect. The flip of the board also has some nice realistic rotations. That’s bread-and-butter stuff for a skateboarding game, but next skate Entry seems to bring it further. In the pre-pre-pre-alpha footage we see precise grind and flip controls, which is great for people who want to play technically. There are also more arcade-like elements with unrealistic physics to help with level ground tricks such as: B. the backflip over a car. And it seems you can do all of this online, in seemingly massive online skateboarding sessions. My body is absolutely ready.

An EA spokesperson declined to answer questions, merely directing players to sign up for future testing the skate insider program. You need an EA Account to complete registration, and there is no date to start a playtest. There is also no guarantee that once you register you will be selected for the next session, although the skate The insider website clarifies that there will be “more ways in the future” to play the game. So be sure to monitor these inboxes.

Who knows when we’ll actually see each other skate 4, Sk4tethe next skate game, or whatever we call it. It’s a shame EA didn’t have more to say but next skate will live rent free in my head now thanks to this new pre pre pre alpha material.
