Dying Light 2’s weapon system is slightly different from the original game. The big caveat is that you can’t craft your own weapons. The only way you can get weapons is to find them, buy them, or get rewarded. Of course, you can also get some weapons depending on the version of the game you buy. Since it can be difficult to get a copy of the weapon you like in Dying Light 2, you want to make sure you have the right mod setup for the weapon you’re using. Let’s take a look at how you can equip mods and whether you can change them in Dying Light 2.
How to modify weapons in Dying Light 2
Weapon mods are pretty simple, all you need is a mod blueprint and a weapon that can accept mods. Mod blueprints can be purchased from crafting vendors, and weapons that accept mods will have orange slots on them in your inventory. just open the mod menu of the weapon you want to mod and put them in.
You will have to spend some materials to modify the weapon but it will restore 50 durability to the weapon with each mod you install. This is the only way you can repair weapons in Dying Light 2, so make sure to only install mods on weapons after you’ve used up some durability.
Can you change weapon mode after installation?
Sadly, you cannot change the weapon mode once it is installed. This may be related to the fact that installing a weapon mod will fix the weapon. If you can change weapon mods whenever you want, you can keep the weapon fully repaired at all times.
This means you need to be a bit careful when modifying weapons. If you have a mod that doesn’t work well with your weapon’s build, you won’t be able to fix it until you get a new version of the weapon. If you need any more help with Dying Light 2 Be sure to check out our other tutorials.
