Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson revealed he would be a pet for Megan Thee Stallion, Pardi responded in a since-deleted tweet

Which celebrity would you like to be a pet of isn’t a question you hear every day, but that wasn’t an issue for the actor Dwayne The Rock Johnson who quickly responded with “Megan Thee Stallion” during a recent promotional appearance that left fans laughing on social media.

The hilarious and unexpected moment happened during a press campaign for his latest animated film, DC League of Super-Pets, starring comedian Kevin Hart. The interviewer asked both stars several “pet”-related questions like “do you think people look like their pets” and “did you have any weird pets growing up?”

Most recently, the Hollywood stars were asked, “Which celebrity would you like to be a pet for?” to which The Rock said without hesitation the “Body” rapper, making Hart laugh. When asked why, the Houston-born athlete-turned-actor said, “We don’t need to talk about that, OK?” Meanwhile, Hart chose Oscar-winning actor Denzel Washington as his pet owner.

Johnson shared the clip on his Instagram page, where he shouted at Hart, Megan Thee Stallion and Washington. Fans erupted in the comments sections, with many dubbing the actors “My favorite duo.”

Reactions continued to pour in, including one user who wrote: “He said that’s my answer take care of yourself. Y’all are mature enough to know why.” Another person added, “He’s been thinking about this all day.” A third person quipped, “LMAOOO HE WAS NO TIME.”

While the self-proclaimed hottie team captain didn’t respond to the Black Adam star, her boyfriend and rapper Pardison Fontaine caught wind of the actor’s comments.

In the comments section of a blog post, the Backin’ It Up host fired back, “All our dogs are named after #s.. Just teach your wife to use spices.” “Moana is the sh-t tho” refers to the 2016 Disney animated film starring Johnson.

However, the rapper deleted the post shortly after, after fans seemed to have issues with his response. In a series of Twitter posts, the New York native explained, “I deleted it (yesterday) because it seems like people got it wrong…thought my joke might be in bad taste.”

Elsewhere, he commented, “Of all the things to worry about y’all think I’m mad at The Rock.”

Megan and Pardi officially took to Instagram in February 2021 after months of speculation, and the romance has blossomed ever since.
