pop megastar Dua Lipa added to the stunned Grammy’s 2022 Red Carpet debuted a new waist-length platinum blonde look.

Created by hairstylist Chris Appleton, the look perfectly complemented the musician’s black Versace dress, which was finished with a selection of different gold chains and accessories.

Appleton teased the pre-red carpet look on his Instagram captioned “Blondie.” Later, Dua would also share the look on her page, which highlights Versace’s 1992 vintage.

Dua attended the 2022 Grammys to present the Best New Artist award to Olivia Rodrigo along with Megan Thee Stallion. After a quick outfit change, Dua’s second look led to an outfit clash as both presenters took to the podium in the same Versace look, seemingly inspired by the 1998 MTV VMA mixup starring Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston.

Competition for this award was fierce this year, with names such as Baby Keem, FINNEAS, The Kid LAROI and Glass Animals. Ultimately, Rodrigo took home the award and later won Best Pop Vocal Album for her debut as well Angry.

Without new music, Dua received no nominations at this year’s Grammys. However, her performances at the event to date have been overwhelmingly successful, including last year where she took home Best Pop Vocal Album. Previously, in 2019, she won both Best New Artist and Best Dance Recording awards.
