Japanese gaming giant Nintendo has confirmed that it will shut down the mobile title Dragalia Lost sometime after the launch of the game’s final campaign mission update in July 2022. Chapter 26 Part Two will be the final story update of the action RPG developed by Cygames and will finally bring to end the story that has been ongoing since the game’s launch in 2018.
In an official statement, Nintendo stated that “upon completion of the main campaign, the service for [Dragalia Lost] will be finalized at a later date.” It adds that “further details on end-of-service schedule will be provided in a future notification.” No new content will be added to the game beyond the conclusion of the story in July, but pre-existing showcases and event resumes will take place “until the service ends.”
This isn’t the first time Nintendo has shut down a mobile title, as both Miitomo and, more recently, Dr. Mario World have been deleted. Dragalia Lost joins the list of mobile titles that just won’t be playable anymore. It’s always a shame when service ends on mobile titles. They disappear as if they were never there. Now it’s time to play through Dragalia Lost if you’ve been putting it off. Before you know it, the game will not exist.
