Dog attack in Queensland: Footage shows the moment a pet escapes from home to attack a man on a mobility scooter

A man was attacked by a dog while riding his disabled scooter near Brisbane, leaving him hospitalized for days.
The man walked his own dog in the Ipswich suburb of Leichhardt on Sunday morning.

Home security camera footage provided to 7NEWS shows the dog fleeing a property on Ludwigstrasse while a resident throws something into a garbage can on the curb.
The dog ran towards the man and his dog and attacked them, footage shows.
The occupant and others nearby were able to pull the dog away.
Ipswich City Council confirmed someone known to the victim reported the incident.
According to the council, the man sustained injuries to his arm and fingers.
He was taken to Ipswich Hospital where he remains on Wednesday morning.
The man’s dog was also injured and is being treated by the RSPCA.
The attacking dog was seized by the council after an investigation.
However, the fate of the dog, whose breed has not been announced, has not yet been decided.
