Disney Dreamlight Valley developers detail future content and upcoming bug fixes

That Social Media Accounts for Disney Dreamlight Valley have announced that more content and bug fixes are available for the game. The upcoming update will be the first major update for the game and will include new patches, priority issues, and an improved photo mode.

The patches for the game will be released along with Scar. Scar is the main antagonist from the Lion King and will start as the next big character for Dreamlight Valley. The socials didn’t share an exact release date for the patches or scar, but the developers promise players can expect both in about three weeks. The patches fix some bugs in the game, and the release date for the patches is different from the Star Path end date that the game already has.

The priority issues that the development team wants to change in the patches include fixing progress leaks, patching an issue with the missing Founder’s Pack rewards, and preventing console crashes. The priority issues will come into play in the coming weeks as the team gets closer to making the fixes permanent. Some of the general glitches and tweaks the team wants to work on include improving lightning VFX, audio distortion in Nintendo Switch versions of the game, and making sure the rain waters players’ crops. The team also hopes to optimize the title for the PlayStation 4.

The developers plan to fix an infamous bug in certain quests where players cannot collect lightbulbs. The team also intends to fix another bug in missions where items get stuck on the shop counter. Besides recording Scar and continuing the main story, the upcoming update will also feature an improved photo mode. The socials for Dreamlight Valley don’t detail how photo mode will be improved, but new avatar poses will be a part of it.
