Did Bengaluru-Mangaluru in my Slavia DSG: key pick-ups from the trip

I had the opportunity to be the front seat passenger for quite a while as I had my friend behind the wheel and I got to experience the ride quality from the passenger’s perspective.

Did another quick group ride to Mangaluru with some bhpians and friends and enjoyed the ride as always. Had the opportunity to also be a front seat passenger for some time as I had my friend Paragsachania behind the wheel and was able to experience the ride quality from the passenger’s perspective. The stiffer suspension and 55mm tread tires have a pretty harsh ride over sudden bumps and other than that the car is just bliss.
We also have the highest fuel efficiency this time with 15.5 kmmpl on the way to Mangaluru and 13.8 on the way back, although I banged the car quite a bit and had good speeds. Normally I hardly get over 12.5 on my rides in Kolar and it wasn’t much on my last ride in Chikmagalur either. But this time the onward journey was very early in the morning which meant I could cruise all the way to Hassan with CC between 100 and 120 consistently. When cruising, the experience is simply fantastic, with a very planted ride and precise steering at all times. Both myself and Parag were able to enjoy the Ghats either way as there was little traffic at the time and the road quality was mostly good. At sea level, the throttle response is even better and flies off even with light throttle inputs.
The car is only a few miles from the 10000 mark, which is fast by my standards considering I don’t commute daily anymore (compared to my previous cars) and we have that Crysta on pretty soon too distance wins. Will soon create a 10k km report but until then a few farewell pictures:
