Desmond Howard tore down former Ohio State assistant coach Zach Smith for the NSFW’s insult to the Michigan football legend and Heisman Trophy winner.
Former Ohio State assistant coach Zach Smith tried to go after Michigan football legend Desmond Howard on Twitter, and that takedown attempt failed miserably for all the world to see.
Smith is a disgraced former assistant from Urban Meyer’s tenure on the Ohio State football program. He is the grandson of mentor Meyer and former head coach Earle Bruce of Ohio State. While Smith’s coaching career fell apart, Howard remained a staple on ESPN’s College GameDay. Smith called Howard an idiot and classless in his tweet. Howard responded with a stab of his own.
This is officially Michigan’s second-biggest win over Ohio State this college football season.
Desmond Howard claps at Zach Smith’s NSWF insult of him on Twitter
Although Ohio State is playing in the Rose Bowl this season, the Buckeyes have not won the Big Ten, let alone the Big Ten East. Michigan won the head-to-head battle at Ann Arbor in the snow. The werewolves had no problem getting past the Iowa Hawkeyes in Indianapolis. With 12 wins and one Big Ten title, the Wolverines made it to the College Football Playoffs.
Ohio State may have only experienced a year of decline, but Michigan is the one still alive with a chance to win the national championship. Of course, Michigan will have to beat Georgia and perhaps Alabama in a row to claim the final prize. Ohio State needs to get past an aggressive Utah Utes team in Pasadena to taste the roses on New Year’s Day. It’s just not as sweet as a championship.
Howard’s response to Smith’s NSFW insult of him on Twitter was a smart and classy one.
