A representative for Jarvis Landry told Cleveland.com that the broad receiver and the Browns have a “common interest” in a reunion.
This season, the Cleveland Browns let broad consignee Jarvis Landry look for a deal, before eventually releasing him from his contract. Despite that happening earlier this month, Landry is still a free agent and he can play anywhere, including his old team.
Landry’s agent, Roosevelt Barnes, told Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot that the wide receiver and the Browns have a “common interest” in a reunion. Barnes noted that the acquisition of Deshaun Watson played a role in the decision.
“When you’re a receiver, you always want to play with a great quarterback like Deshaun,” said Barnes, according to Cabot, h/t Sports Illustrated. “Jarvis has always had a special place in his heart for Cleveland, but Deshaun being there makes it all the more appealing.”

The Browns, who were reportedly not running for Watson, eventually reached an agreement with the quarterback and Houston Texans over a trade. In exchange for multiple high-draft options, Cleveland signed Watson to a five-year, $230 million contract.
Although Watson was not criminally charged for alleged sexual assault and harassment by a Texas grand jury. Despite that, he still faces 22 civil lawsuits.
A recent report from Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk indicates that Landry is looking for a new contract with an annual salary of around $20 million.
Landry is nearing the end of the 2021 season, where he has scored 52 hits for 570 yards and two touches on 87 goals in 12 games.
It remains to be seen if the Browns and Landry can agree to the terms of a reunion contract in 2022.
