San Francisco 49ers fans panic when Deebo Samuel unfollows the team on Instagram.
Is San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel trying to tell us something? In an amazing twist, Samuel removed his Instagram profile picture in his 49ers jersey, while also unfollowing the team overall.
In addition, Samuel also deleted around 80 photos from his account. Because of this, people are nervous that the star might be unhappy he didn’t get an extension from the team. The timing of this is interesting as Stefon Diggs has just approved his blockbuster deal with the Bills.
Deebo Samuel delivered quite a message to the 49ers’ front office
Samuel is entering the final year of his rookie contract. Much like the Seattle Seahawks’ DK Metcalf, Samuel is hoping to get paid sooner rather than later. On his Instagram, he shows what appears to be frustration.
We’ve seen something similar with Kyler Murray, but the Starsignal caller is on good terms with the Cardinals and was even spotted training with JJ Watt recently. Who knows exactly what Samuel is thinking, but it’s causing fans a bit of concern.
Samuel has emerged as one of the most explosive players in the league. It has unreal wheels and is pretty versatile for the San Francisco offense. It’s only a matter of time before he gets the payday he’s been hoping for.
If the 49ers’ front office is smart, they would show a little urgency to get things done as soon as possible. You don’t want Samuel to be unhappy before camp. Right now it feels like he’s getting a bit pissed off, which doesn’t do San Francisco any good.
