Dauntless begins Gauntlet Season 3, gaining Weapon XP and completing the Silver Sword quest again

Regular followers of our fearless Coverage was already familiar with some of the multiplayer RPG’s upcoming features, but now Slayers can actually experience many of them this week, as the latest patch includes another Gauntlet season, new cells, and more.

The marquee feature is Gauntlet Season 3, which brings back several modifiers and also adds two new ones. Of course, the new season also brings new leaderboards, new weapon trackers, and new rewards in the form of exclusive titles, and Gauntlet’s Research Lab adds three new cells for players to hunt, which have some unique blessings centered around Earth, Water, and Fire. The season runs from now until April 27th.

For those uninterested in the Gauntlet, the patch brings a few other features, namely an increase in the amount of weapon XP that can be deposited and the return of the holiday questline that involves crafting the unique Silver Sword weapon becomes. Finally, the patch brings updates to Hunt Passes and the rewards cache, and applies a few minor bug fixes.
