Dates for Studio Ghibli Fest 2023 announced

Studio Ghibli Fest returns in 2023, and this year all 10 of Hayao Miyazaki’s films will be celebrated on the big screen. North America will also receive its first showings of Spirited Away: Live on stage.

Similar to last year, Studio Ghibli Fest 2023 will honor and celebrate the work of the legendary creator by bringing Miyazaki’s films to the big screen in collaboration with Fathom Events and GKIDS. Unlike last year, however, all 10 of Miyazaki’s films will be included in the celebrations, including the 35th anniversary screenings of My neighbor Totoro15th Anniversary Screenings Ponyoand screenings for the 10th anniversary of The wind is getting stronger.

Alongside the 10 films, the first-ever North American screenings for the stage play version of spirited away will also debut in theaters, which will include two separate full performances filmed during last year’s production run in Tokyo.

“We are excited to be collaborating with GKIDS this year and honoring Hayao Miyazaki by bringing his collective work to the big screen. Always a leader, visionary and an inspiration to fans and critics alike, we know this series, including the debut of Spirited Away: Live on stage has been well received by fans across the country,” said Ray Nutt, CEO of Fathom Events.

All 10 animated films will be shown in both the original Japanese and English dubbed versions, and will also include an exclusive selection from the documentary series 10 years with Hayao Miyazaki. Tickets for Studio Ghibli Fest 2023 are on sale now and the full screening schedule is below:
