Date of warning issued for winter weather today through Friday morning – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – The WJZ First Warning Weather Team has issued a Day of Alert for northern and western parts of the states because of the potential for a mix of winter and slippery roads.

A Winter Weather Notice in effect from 7:00 p.m. to Friday morning for much of northern and central Maryland, including the City of Baltimore.

Most of Maryland is waking up to cloudy and cold conditions.

The temperature was almost 30 degrees colder than Wednesday morning.

A mild winter is possible today but a cold spell of rain is expected tonight through Friday morning.

Ice storm warning for Garrett & Allegany counties from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. Friday.

Up to a tenth of an inch of ice can accumulate there.
