Daniel Jones will not be playing for the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins due to a neck injury.
After winning last week against the same division as the Philadelphia Eagles, Giants in New York will be against it compared to Miami Dolphins, as starting midfielder Daniel Jones was officially ruled out due to a neck injury.
While there is some doubt about Jones’ overall readiness to take on this game, Joe Judge ruled him on Friday morning suggesting that it would be Mike Glennon central to the G-Men. On 4-7 of the season, the Giants are running out of time to survive in the NFC East race. For Miami, a head-to-head victory over the two New York City teams at home would have the Dolphins’ return of .500.
This is a tough blow for the Giants, but a Miami also has no choice but to capitalize.
Daniel Jones Injury Condition: The QB Giants Aren’t Available To Play The Dolphins On Sunday
While this may just be a week-to-week trauma for Jones, we’re left wondering what phase of defeat the giants will experience. There have been instances of the Giants playing hard under head coach Joe Judge, but there have also been instances where the team just couldn’t get out of their own way. They fired offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, and general manager Dave Gettleman could be next.
Ultimately, the Giants dropping what could have been a winnable match to Miami only sped up another rebuilding effort in The Big Apple. It’s been a long time since the Giants played complementary, winning football. If the Giants looked terrible compared to the Dolphins, the fates of many in this organization may have been decided before Jones was healthy enough to return to form.
While anything can happen in NFL, it’s hard to see the Giants win a match without Jones.
