Just three days ago, UFC President Dana White announced that he and his family tested positive for COVID-19. He said his immediate family and extended family attended Thanksgiving together, and his immediate family both tested positive on Monday.
Friday, he told TMZ Sports that he is officially COVID free. How did the 53-year-old go from positive to negative in just five days?
Then he said, “Thank you, Dr. Joe Rogan!”
That’s right, White credits black UFC commentator Joe Rogan for his quick recovery and negative test results. He called Rogan as soon as he realized he couldn’t smell on Sunday, and Rogan gave him step-by-step instructions for the week.
First, White had to make sure he had the virus by getting tested Monday morning. He himself, his wife and their daughter are all active. Because the test came back positive, Rogan advised White to get the monoclonal antibody through a shot. This was followed by NAD drip, followed by Ivermectin. He then followed the routine of repeating NAD and vitamin drops every day until the test results were negative.
According to White, “this thing works.” He said that he and his wife, both 53 years old, took Rogan’s advice. So are his 15-year-old daughter and 80-year-old mother-in-law. White says the process worked for all four of them. He said he regained his smell and taste on Tuesday, just a day after starting Rogan’s process.
The UFC president is looking for a quick recovery so he can attend the UFC’s Rob Font and José Aldo’s fight tonight. He will be able to attend if he continues to test negative. Under the COVID protocol, White had to test negative for the virus twice in 24 hours. His first negative test was Friday morning.
