UFC President Dana White will not be attending UFC Vegas 44. However, he is free of Covid-19 after heeding advice on treatment from UFC announcer Joe Rogan.
Although White was vaccinated, he and his family still contracted the illness caused by SARS-CoV-2 after a Thanksgiving gathering. As soon as he realized he had Covid-19, White phoned Rogan, who suggested a treatment that included monoclonal antibodies, ivermectin, NAD drops, and vitamin drops.
White followed Rogan’s advice, he told TMZ Sports. Within a day, he regained his sense of smell and quickly felt at ease. On Friday, five days after testing positive, White tested negative for Covid-19, completely trusting his friend’s advice.
Why is Dana White listening to Joe Rogan about Covid-19 treatments?
Rogan hosts the most popular podcast in the world, The Joe Rogan Experience. He regularly talks at length with people who are experts in any field. Pandemic and Covid-19 is a topic he has researched in depth. He took the disease and overcame it on his own, largely following the regimen he encouraged White to follow.
“Joe Rogan is an excellent guy and he talks to the coolest people out there. He learns, he does his homework on all of this, and this actually works,” White said. TMZ.
“Secondly, I did what Rogan told me to do. Third, I have taste and smell again.”
White says that other members of his family have followed the same treatment. They all recovered as quickly as he did.
Although White tested negative on Friday, he said his doctor – not Joe Rogan – advised him to wait until Monday to go back to work. So even though he’s clear, White won’t be in the fight at UFC Vegas 44 on Saturday, where Rob Font and Jose Aldo contend in the bantamweight main event.
